NICE 2026 – Nonlinear Imaging and Coherent Effects will take place on 20–21 May 2026 at the ex-Stazione Ippica in Latisana (Ud), Italy.

NICE 2026 brings together the linear and non-linear spectroscopy communities with the emerging field of coherent imaging, with a focus on extending non-linear techniques into the sub-100 nm regime. By leveraging advanced light sources such as free-electron lasers and next-generation synchrotrons, the workshop will explore new opportunities in intensity-dependent light–matter interactions and stimulate the development of innovative instrumentation. The meeting also aims to foster collaboration between experimental and theoretical approaches, with particular emphasis on the active involvement of early-career researchers and their interaction with leading experts.

Travel Grants for Young Researchers (NEWS!!!)

Early-career researchers presenting an oral or poster contribution may apply for travel and accommodation support, subject to funding availability. Support will be provided as reimbursement of eligible travel expenses after the workshop. Allocation results will be communicated approximately one week after the application deadline. Selection will consider career stage/age, country of origin (with priority to ITC countries), and gender balance. A CV and motivation letter will be required during the application process.
