The presentation explores the principles and practices of Open Science, highlighting how increased transparency, accessibility and collaboration in research can enhance its societal relevance and impact. Will be also examined the key pillars of Open Science – including open access, open data, and citizen science – and how these contribute to democratizing knowledge, fostering innovation, and improving public trust in science. Furthermore, the session will address the ways in which scientific research can drive evidence-based policymaking, address societal challenges, and contribute to sustainable development. How adopting open practices can strengthen the relationship between science and society.
