Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is a powerful technique that couples optical imaging with spectroscopy, allowing for the acquisition of spatially resolved spectral data from a sample. Typically, HSI systems rely on spectral or spatial filters, which can constrain the acquisition throughput. We propose an innovative approach based on Fourier Transform, in which a compact birefringent interferometer is optically coupled to a camera, facilitating straightforward multimodal studies across multiple scales. Various methods and applications will be showcased, we the intent of demonstrating the potential uses.
