ReMade@ARI: Rolling call for access projects in recyclable materials

8 Sep 2025 | projects, remade@ari

The last call for transnational access (TNA) for research in the field of recyclable materials has opened on 1 September 2025. It is a rolling call – proposals can be submitted any time and will immediately be reviewed.

The ReMade-TNA funding support represents a great opportunity for all scientists conducting circular economy research to benefit from a wide range of services including facility access, travel and accommodation support, user support and much more. As a hub dedicated to developing new materials for a circular economy, ReMade@ARI provides scientists exploring the properties and structures of recyclable materials with coordinated access to more than 50 European analytical research infrastructures.

The consortium usually calls for proposals covering at least two techniques, ideally at two different facilities. For laser based techniques, also proposals applying for access to a single Laserlab-Europe facility are eligible. Based on the experience from the previous call, proposals need to be of very high scientific excellence to balance potential weaknesses due to the single technique approach and/or in Circular Economy (CE) relevance. We highly recommend to read the guidelines for moderators and reviewers that provide examples for scores in CE relevance.

In ReMade@ARI, 8 Laserlab-Europe members offer TNA (CALTCLLENEA, FORTHHiLASE, ICFOLLAMS, CUSBO) for the following laser based techniques:

  • Laser photo chemistry and spectroscopy
  • Laser processing
  • Electron microscopy
  • X-ray diffraction
  • X-ray spectroscopy

Under the new Rolling Call, proposals can be submitted at any time during the period September 2025 – May 2026, giving you more flexibility and time to carefully prepare, develop, and refine your research ideas. However, analytical research infrastructures available within ReMade@ARI apply their own staggered closing dates. Please thus consult the Facility Schedule – your key tool to track these deadlines and plan proposals submissions accordingly.

Users can submit proposals for access to these infrastructures as follows:

ReMade – TNA
Access for academic researchers and industry
Deadline for rolling ReMade-TNA proposal submissions: up to 29 May 2026 (see schedule for staggered facility-specific closing dates)
Proposal submission via the ARIA Portal

For more information about the analytical offer, please visit the catalogue of techniques.

ReMade – Pre-Proposal
Do you want to benefit from ReMade@ARI’s support to develop your preliminary research idea(s) into a full ReMade-TNA proposal?
Deadline for rolling Remade – pre-proposal submissions: up to 15 May 2026 (see schedule for staggered facility-specific closing dates).
Pre-proposals must be submitted latest 2 weeks prior to the facility closing date. If multiple facilities are chosen, the earliest facility closing date applies.
