Postdoc position in Ultrafast Spectroscopy, University of Fribourg, Switzerland (Deadline: 30.11.2025)

We have an opening for a postdoc position in our group of Ultrafast Spectroscopy at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland (https://sites.google.com/view/group-monney).

The topic of research will be the study of the out-of-equilibrium dynamics of quantum materials.
The candidate will use time-resolved optical spectroscopy and time-resolved ARPES. He/she will be part of a group of 5-6 people with expertise in these techniques, as well as scanning tunneling microscopy and resonant inelastic x-ray scattering.

We are looking for a motivated and curious person, having a solid understanding of the electronic structure of quantum materials and many-body physics.
The candidate should already have experimental expertise in static optical spectroscopy or ARPES. Experience with out-of-equilibrium phenomena or the pump-probe technique is an asset.

The position will open early 2026 and will be available for at least 2 years, possibly more.
