Postdoc position in Spin and time resolved ARPES, Cergey Paris University, CEA LIDYL, Saclay, France (Deadline: 20.11.2025)
The DICO-PMS mixed group at Cergy Paris University and CEA LIDYL Saclay is looking for a postdoc candidate for a position funded for 2 years.
The postdoc will work on a daily basis on the recently upgraded spin, time and angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (STARPES) beamline at CEA Attolab (Saclay, France), featuring a 100 kHz Yb-doped laser source with XUV high harmonic generation, and a hemispherical photoelectron analyser equipped with a 3D VLEED spin detector.
The candidate will join the research activities of DICO-PMS, focused on ultrafast spin and charge dynamics in TMDCs, light beams carrying orbital angular momentum, and attosecond chronoscopy of photoemission. The group benefits of theoretical support (one-step photoemission calculations by the group of Jan Minar, New Technology Center of Plzen, Czech Republic), and regularly performs experiments in large scale facilities (SOLEIL, ELETTRA, FERMI, DIAMOND, MAX4, SOLARIS).
Applications are made by direct message to Mauro Fanciulli mauro.fanciulli@u-cergy.fr.
Previous experiences with solid state physics, UHV technology, photoelectron spectroscopy, are an advantage.
