Postdoc position in attosecond spectroscopy of materials at CEA Paris-Saclay, France

We are opening a 2-year postdoctoral position in our team at CEA Paris-Saclay to work on attosecond spectroscopy of materials.

Our group explores several forms of attosecond spectroscopy in condensed matter, such as transient reflectivity, dichroism, and scattering. The successful candidate will conduct experiments on a dedicated and recently constructed beamline at the Attolab facility. Current research topics include ultrafast dynamics in magnetic materials, strongly correlated insulators, and nanostructured semiconductors. The position offers flexibility for the postdoctoral researcher to choose and shape their research directions within these topics according to their interest.

Applicants should hold a PhD in experimental physics in a related field (e.g., attosecond sources, time-resolved spectroscopy of solids, XUV or X-ray spectroscopy, etc). The selected candidate will join a dynamic team (about 35 people) working in various areas of attosecond science.

Applications (CV and cover letter) should be sent by email to romain.geneaux@cea.fr and will be reviewed until the position is filled. Please also get in touch for any additional questions or informal discussions about the position and our lab.
