PostDoc position: femtosecond lattice and spin dynamics in antiferromagnets, FHI, Berlin, Germany
We are looking to hire a postDoc with experience in experimental physics to join our team. The project will primarily employ femtosecond diffraction techniques (electrons and X-rays) to study spin- and lattice dynamics in antiferromagnets, and the interactions between them. The position will be associated with the “Ultrafast Nanoscience” group of Prof. Ralph Ernstorfer at TU Berlin, and is based at our labs in the Fritz Haber institute (FHI) of the Max Planck Society in Berlin.
Relevant candidates must have extensive hands-on experience with at least one of the following skills: ultrafast optics, magnetic diffraction (with X-rays or neutrons), or ultrafast electron diffraction.
A broad overview of the research done by our group is available here: https://pc.fhi-berlin.mpg.de/sesd/
The official job listing is available here: https://www.jobs.tu-berlin.de/en/job-postings/202855
Our team is diverse and international (the work language is English), and we encourage qualified candidates from all backgrounds to apply. Informal inquiries are welcome, and should be addressed to me (windsor@tu-berlin.de).
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled by a suitable candidate (the official deadline is currently listed as April 17th, but will be extended as needed).
