PhD and Postdoc: Molecules in Strong Fields group, Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest Hungary)
A PhD and a postdoc (up to 3 years) position is available in the Molecules in Strong Fields group ( https://msf.elte.hu/ ) at the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, Hungary.
PhD position:
Starting in September 2026. ! Application deadline for PhD enrollment at ELTE is 31st of May 2026, which should be preceded with an interview with the PI !
The successful candidate should hold an MSc in physics/chemistry or equivalent. A strong background and motivation in light-matter interaction and photo-induced molecular processes is desired.
Gross monthly salary: ~1,700 €
Topic: depending on the interest of the candidate, the theoretical work will involve the simulation of gas-phase molecular properties and dynamics in the presence of strong laser fields or when molecules interact with the quantized light fields of microscopic cavities. Postdoc position:
Starting in January 2027.
The successful candidate should hold a PhD in theoretical physics/chemistry or equivalent. A strong background and motivation in light-matter interaction and photo-induced molecular processes is desired.
Gross monthly salary: ~2,500 €
Topic: the theoretical work will involve the simulation of gas-phase molecular properties and dynamics when molecules interact with the quantized light fields of microscopic cavities, with emphasis on the collective nature of light-matter coupling in these systems.
