Full professorship in materials physics at TU Graz, Austria
We are looking for a team-oriented and committed individual who conducts excellent experimental research and teaching with a high potential for groundbreaking results in internationally visible projects. Application-oriented, structure- and process-driven research foci include, for example:
- functional materials in the field of energy storage and conversion, as well as porous materials
- materials whose macroscopic properties are determined by quantum phenomena
- structure-property relationships of novel materials; non-equilibrium processes; charge and mass transport; and bio-inspired functionality.
- experience in the application and development of innovative experimental measurement methods
The ability to teach courses in the entire field of materials and solid state physics (for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students) is expected; the successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to acquire third-party funding. Graz University of Technology and the University of Graz will merge their physics departments in the common Graz Center of Physics, as part of NAWI Graz. The future incumbent of this position should actively participate in this center and contribute to the strategic goals of the faculty as well as to interdisciplinary collaborations at Graz University of Technology.
