We are pleased to announce the CECAM/COST COSY Working Group 2 (WG2) Workshop on “Molecular Dynamics in Confined Environments: Advances in Simulations, Methods, and Models”, which will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland, from May 19 to May 20, 2026.

This workshop aims to bring together researchers in theoretical and computational physical chemistry to exchange ideas and insights essential for understanding dynamical phenomena in complex systems.
These include systems involving molecular cages, surfaces and interfaces, as well as molecules confined by electromagnetic fields.
The scientific program will cover classical, quantum, and mixed quantum–classical dynamics, along with multiscale simulation approaches needed to describe such systems.
The workshop seeks to foster active scientific exchange, stimulate interdisciplinary discussions, and strengthen collaboration within the
community.

We especially encourage applications from young researchers, including PhD students and postdoctoral fellows.
Participants interested in presenting a contributed talk or poster are invited to submit a title, a short abstract, and their preferred presentation format (talk or poster) during registration.
