2 PhD positions open in Terahertz Time-Domain Imaging of Art at UNVEIL MSCA Doctoral Network, Metz, France

Two PhD positions are currently open in the MSCA Doctoral Network UNVEIL at CNRS / Georgia Tech Europe (Georgia Tech–CNRS IRL 2958), Metz, France 
The two projects are:
– DC1: Super-resolution depth and transverse profiling for multi-layer cultural heritage artworks
– DC4: Evaluation of ceramic cultural heritage artifacts with THz imaging and tomography
These are 36-month full-time doctoral positions, with an expected start date of 1 September 2026. The indicative gross salary is in the range of €3,400–€3,800 per month.
We are looking for candidates with an MSc or equivalent in physics, photonics, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field, with a strong interest in imaging, inverse problems, modeling, and/or data processing applied to artworks.
Please note that the MSCA mobility rule applies. In particular, at the recruitment date, applicants must not already hold a doctoral degree and must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before recruitment.
