3-year experimental PhD position in Attosecond vortices, CELIA laboratory, Bordeaux, France (Deadline: 22.04.2026)

A 3-year PhD position is now open at CEntre des Lasers Intenses et Applications (Bordeaux, France) in the Harmonic and Applications group. The full desciption of the experimental work
is detailed in the joint document.

We aim to tailor XUV beams produced by high harmonic generation in gases by controlling the spatial and temporal profile of the generating beam.
Produced attosecond pulses will be characterized using FROG-CRAB technic. Shaping directly the XUV beam carrying controllable orbital angular momentum
will be explored and will allow time-resolved nano-imaging.
During this PhD, joint experiments will be performed with Laser Lund Center (A. L’Huillier’s group), King’s College London (A. Zaïr’s group), Institut Lumière Matière (E. Constant’s group)
and Laboratoire Interactions, Dynamique et Lasers at CEA Saclay (W. Boutu’s group).

Interested candidates are invited to send a cover letter, a detailed CV, grades from Master, and contact information for two references to constance.valentin@u-bordeaux.fr and
