Postdoc position, for the application of THz fields in Ultrafast Electron Diffraction, Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Berlin, Germany (Deadline: 04.07.2025)

The department of Prof. Martin Wolf at the Fritz Haber Institute is looking to hire a postDoc to join our ultrafast electron diffraction (UED) team, which is part of the the Max Planck Fellow Group “Structural & Electronic Surface Dynamics”. The team studies femtosecond dynamics in a variety of condensed matter systems and is associated with the “Ultrafast Nanoscience” group of Prof. Ralph Ernstorfer at TU Berlin. Relevant candidates must have significant hands-on experience with ultrafast optics. The successful candidate will work on our in-house UED setup to implement and use THz-based electron pulse compression.
