PhD Position in Reduced Density Matrix Functional Theory development, University of Warsaw, Poland (Deadline:31.07)
The project Development of reduced density matrix correlation functional methods for multireference chemistry, funded by the National Science Centre, Poland, is seeking a candidate for a PhD Student position.
The project will introduce a new class of computational methods bridging wave-function theory and reduced-density-matrix functional theory (RDMFT). The research will focus on the development of correlation-energy functionals based on the adiabatic connection formalism, enabling an accurate description of strongly correlated electronic systems.
The project involves fundamental research, including the development of theoretical methods, their practical implementation in electronic structure software, and applications to molecular and materials electronic-structure calculations.
The project is jointly supervised by Katarzyna Pernal from Lodz University of Technology and Michał Hapka from the University of Warsaw.
