PhD Position in Biochemistry, Time-Resolved Structural Biology of Photoreceptor Proteins, Uppsala, Sweden (Deadline: 19.03.2026)
We invite highly ambitious and motivated candidates to apply for a PhD position in the Westenhoff research group at Uppsala University, focusing on the structure and dynamics of photoreceptor proteins using state-of-the-art time-resolved serial femtosecond crystallography at X-ray free-electron lasers. We are seeking outstanding applicants with a strong academic record from a recognized university, demonstrated research ability (e.g., thesis work, publications, or strong recommendations), and solid background in biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, or a closely related, chemistry-intensive field.
