PhD opportunity in gas-phase kinetics applied to astrochemistry at ISMO, Paris-Saclay, France (Deadline:23.02.2026)
A PhD opportunity (Cofund light in Paris) in gas-phase kinetics applied to astrochemistry is available in the Jacovella group at the University of Paris-Saclay (France).
The experimental research involves ion mobility, mass spectrometry, and laser spectroscopy techniques applied to chemical growth of aromatics in space.
The project “Pathways to Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Interstellar Space (PAHIS)” would consist in two at ISMO, University Paris-Saclat (FRANCE) and one year at the Heyrosky Institute, Prague (Czech Republic) under the supervision of Dr. Juraj Jasik.
The project is concerne with developing instruments that enable the investigation of ion-molecule reaction hydrocarbons with a complete controle on the mass and shape of the reactant and products.
