We are recruiting a doctoral researcher and a postdoctoral researcher for our new ERC Advanced Grant project “Attochirality” at ETH Zürich.
The project aims to establish attosecond chiroptical pump–probe spectroscopy and apply it to electronic wave packets, charge migration and charge transfer in chiral molecules. The experiments will combine a 100-kHz few-cycle laser system, circularly polarized isolated attosecond pulses, tunable deep-ultraviolet and near-infrared pulses, and three-dimensional electron–ion coincidence detection in a reaction microscope.
Doctoral position in circularly polarized attosecond pulses and chiral charge migration
The doctoral researcher will contribute to the development of the attosecond beamline, generate and fully characterize circularly polarized isolated attosecond pulses, and use them in coincidence experiments on chirality-sensitive charge migration and charge transfer in isolated and microhydrated molecules.

Postdoctoral position in attosecond chiroptical coincidence spectroscopy
The postdoctoral researcher will take a leading role in establishing the experimental platform, developing methods for the complete temporal and polarization characterization of circularly polarized attosecond pulses, integrating spin-resolved electron detection, and coordinating reaction-microscope experiments on chiral electronic dynamics.
