Junior Research Scientist for the RIANA Project and Laser-Matter Interaction Research Activities, CNRS-LP3, Marseille, France (Deadline: 03.11.2025)

The selected candidate (M/F) will contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the European project RIANA (Research Infrastructure Access for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology) within the Laserlab-Europe network, as a junior representative. In parallel, he/she will participate in the research activities of the LP3 team (UMR 7341, CNRS/Aix-Marseille Université), particularly in the field of laser processing and material structuring.

Activities

  • Ensure technical and scientific coordination of RIANA user access on behalf of Laserlab-Europe.
  • Participate in the preparation and monitoring of European collaborative projects (reports, deliverables, communication).
  • Contribute to experimental research at LP3: laser microscopy, surface structuring, thin film elaboration and related characterizations.
  • Contribute to the dissemination and valorization of results (publications, conferences, training activities).
  • Support the scientific networking activities (workshops, thematic schools, exchanges between infrastructures).

Competences

  • PhD or equivalent in physics, materials science, optics or related field.
  • Strong experimental expertise in laser–matter interaction and/or advanced characterization techniques.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in English and French.
  • Experience in writing scientific reports and European project deliverables.
  • Organizational skills, autonomy, and coordination ability.
