EOSC Symposium 2024 programme

It is divided into twenty-six sessions that address, among other things, the ambitions of the EOSC Tripartite Partnership, the EOSC Federation, the launch of the EOSC EU Node, the EOSC landscape, including the European Common Data Spaces and the Artificial Intelligence trends, and the impact and contributions of stakeholders.

The programme includes six unconference sessions selected by a popular vote from submissions under the Call for Unconference Sessions. The Symposium will also be an opportunity to explore further synergies and collaborations with the German National Data Infrastructure, NFDI.

The EOSC Symposium is organised in close cooperation with the Open Science Conference

The Open Science Conference is an annual international conference dedicated to the Open Science movement. It is hosted by the Leibniz Strategy Forum on Open Science and organised under the lead of the ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics.

The high thematic synergies with the EOSC Symposium 2024 have inspired the “Open Science Conference” to join forces with this outstanding event, in order to jointly strengthen the topic of Open Science. Specifically, the ZBW-session “Bringing Open Science into action: The role of educating young researchers” will enrich the programme of the EOSC Symposium by focusing on the importance of integrating Open Science into the training of young researchers. It is essential to raise awareness of open practices, such as data publishing in the sense of FAIR/Open Data from the early stages of doctoral training and to impart the necessary skills.
