SUMMARY:International School on Ultrafast X-ray and Attosecond Science 2026
DESCRIPTION:Applications are now open for The International School on Ultrafast X-ray and Attosecond Science 2026 June 1-5\, 2026 on the Paris-Saclay Campus in France: https://evenium.events/ultrafast2026/home \nThe primary objective of this School is to offer a comprehensive overview of the fundamental concepts and essentials in ultrafast X-ray and attosecond science\, encompassing various applications. The curriculum will address a wide range of subjects\, including strong-field laser–matter interaction and high-order harmonic generation\, nonlinear optics in hollow-core fibers\, attosecond physics in condensed matter and at the nanoscale\, ultrafast science at Free-Electron Lasers and non-adiabatic molecular dynamics simulation methods. Fundamentals in quantum optics will also be covered\, in addition to a special invited lecture by Alain Aspect\, Nobel Prize in Physics 2022. \nThe School will offer a high-profile training opportunity for newcomers in the field\, master and PhD students\, as well as postdocs and early-carreer researchers\, and a chance to discover the laboratories of Paris-Saclay University in the area of the Sciences of Light. Distinguished lecturers will each deliver lectures on a general topic\, scheduled on two different days. In addition\, they will also give a seminar delving into their own research\, thus giving insight into current hot research topics. \nTo foster interaction and collaboration\, the program includes shared meals\, extensive poster sessions\, and informal discussions.
