SUMMARY:Workshop on Micro- and Nano-Structured Materials for Experiments with High-Power Lasers
DESCRIPTION:Structured materials have many applications in the physics of interaction with high-power lasers. On the one hand\, micro-structured materials are used for inertial confinement fusion\, particle acceleration\, X-ray generation\, study of the equations of state. Nano-structured materials\, on the other hand\, find many applications in particle acceleration physics with ultrashort lasers. \nThis Workshop is intended to be the place to discuss the different aspects of the research with these materials: \n\nExperimental strategies and results\nTheoretical modeling and numerical simulations\n Material science and manufacturing\n\nThe meeting will be an occasion to generate constructive discussions among these topics\, which should be interconnected\, but which sometimes are considered separately. \nThis workshop is organized by the Laserlab-Europe AISBL Expert Group on “Micro- and nano-structured materials for experiments with high-power lasers” and supported by Laserlab-Europe AISBL. \nImportant dates \n\nAbstract submission starts 26 February 2026\nAbstract submission ends 12 April 2026\nRegistration closes 15 May 2026\n\n  \nLearn more on the Expert Group at this link. \nParticipation is free.
