Tenure Track Professor of Ultrafast Processes of Single Molecules, University of Graz, Austria

The research core area of this professorship is the characterisation and manipulation of individual molecules on surfaces by scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) in ultra-high vacuum, whereby molecular processes will also be excited by light. Molecular transformations should be studied with high spatial and temporal resolution in view of the relevant parameters and the underlying mechanisms. The professorship, which is assigned to the “Single-Molecule Chemistry” research group, should represent the subject "Physical Chemistry" in research and teaching. Willingness to co-operate with other research groups in the Department and within the framework of the inter-university co-operation project NAWI Graz is expected.

Expected starting date March 1st 2025.
