Postdoc position Experimental Cross-beam Techniques, IChF, Warsaw, Poland

This research initiative is dedicated to the experimental exploration of the evolutionary dynamics of various molecular targets, including chiral molecules and molecular clusters of 1,2,3-triazole derivatives, driven by femto- and nanosecond laser pulses.

Our primary experimental objective is to establish a cross-beam laser-induced setup, enabling the systematic investigation of the aforementioned subjects. This investigation will primarily rely on the analysis of mass spectra obtained following laser irradiation, in conjunction with diverse ionization and excitation sources available through our collaborative research centers. The proposed experimental setup builds upon the foundation (collision chamber, ToF and fs laser) of prior project conducted at our institute under the guidance of Prof. Jacinto Sá. It will encompass a comprehensive assessment of the chemical attributes of triazole derivatives, encompassing various substituents, including chiral centers, while also considering environmental factors through the assembly of molecular clusters.

The appointed researcher will be responsible for the development and meticulous application of the cross-beam experimental apparatus, employing a 1030 nm, 16W, 300 fs laser and continuous molecular beam system to examine a broad spectrum of molecular targets.
