PhD position Statistical Modeling of the Electronic and Vibrational Relaxation Dynamics of Isolated Astrophysical Hydrocarbons, Saclay University, Grenoble, France

A three-year fully funded PhD position is available at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique in Grenoble, France. The project will focus on the theoretical description of the relaxation dynamics of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and small carbon clusters present in the interstellar medium.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in physics or chemical physics, particularly in the fields of molecular physics, spectroscopy, quantum physical chemistry and theoretical chemistry. Proficiency in computational modeling, high-performance computing, data analysis is highly desirable.

Interested applicants should email a CV and the contact details of 2 referents to Cyril Falvo (cyril.falvo@universite-paris-saclay.fr).
